Canada Zine
project overview
Canada Zine is an editorial project documenting a two-week road trip through the Canadian Rockies, created as a guide and source of inspiration for future travellers. Combining my interests in travel, photography and publishing, I creatively directed, designed and photographed the zine from start to finish. The zine brings together the landscapes, people and smaller moments of the journey through photography, typography and editorial storytelling. I used film photography captured, typography inspired by Canada’s wordmark and colours sampled from stickers collected during the trip. Coordinates have been used to identify each location, mountain contour lines add energy to pages documenting the hikes and I used stickers to add personality. I printed 20 copies of the A5 zine, which were shared and presented to friends. It used a 200gsm uncoated cover and 120gsm uncoated inside pages to create a tactile, natural feel.
